Weddings, Holidays and General Business!

Hey there!

I know, I know, I haven't posted in aaaaaages. I've been so busy! School holidays are in full swing which is great. Although so far, I haven't had as much time to relax as I would've liked. Like I said, I've been busy.

Okay, now for some exciting news.....  My cousin got married! I went to her wedding last Sunday (4th of April) and it was amazing. And I know I say that about most things, but it really was amazing. What made it even more amazing is that I was a flower girl! My two other girl cousins were also flower girls, as well as two little girls that my cousin babysits for sometimes. It was so incredibly awesome getting to be right up there with her as she got married, especially when she turned around before signing the papers and gave me a little fist bump :3.

The wedding was held at the Botanical Gardens in Wellington (which I am in love with, be prepared for a Wellington appreciation post :3) in the Begonia House. So pretty much we were surrounded by flowers the whole time. Which was amazing! After the ceremony we all went on a bus to Dockside, a cool restaurant at, you guessed it, the dockside for the reception. And not only did we go on a bus, it was one of those traditional British red double decker busses. It was so amazingly amazing! The reception was heaps of fun. I ate too much, danced for ages and had the time of my life.

Ever since the wedding I have been driving up and down the country, visiton friends and family and having lots of fun. All of which has been very busy and tiring. In other words, I just really need a nap. A lot of naps.

On Saturday I went to the Waiwera hot pools up north of Auckland. It was so much fun! I went with my dad, his girlfriend Amy and her kids (who annoy me a bit/lot). It was really cool, there were so many different pools to swim in. And slides! (one of which gives a seriously extreme wedgie...) Afterwards we stayed at the Orewa holiday park, which is a really nice place to stay. It's right next to the beach and has a playground, barbeque area, kitchen, tv room and more! Then the next day (which I just realised was yesterday) we went to the Auckland Zoo. WHICH WAS AMAZING!!! I saw galapagos tortoises! And red pandas! And spider monkeys! And a tarantula! And an elephant! IT WAS SO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I am finally home, with lots of time to sleep. Although I do have some homework to do... In other news, it's my birthday on Saturday! I'm really excited! Especially because I know my mum bought me something from the Dan And Phil Shop. I'm taking some of my friends to the movies on Saturday to celebrate, and we're going to see X+Y which sounds really cool! (here's the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWAS-q2PpnA ) I have also been promised penguin waffles for breakfast, a tradition that I have kept for as long as I can remember.

Okay, I am going to finish this post here, but not without leaving you with a few photos from the wedding.

I hope you are having a good holiday, if you are on holiday. If not, I hope you are having a fabulous day!
